Lochend Croft is our family-run working croft on the island of Whalsay, Shetland.

Home to our family, sheep, Shetland ponies, hens and dogs, life here follows the seasons. From lambing and making haylage to showing ponies and producing food from the croft for our customers, there's rarely a quiet day.

Crofting has shaped this land for generations, and we're proud to continue that while finding new ways to make Lochend sustainable for the future.

Today, Lochend is growing beyond traditional crofting. We produce our own meat and eggs, create products inspired by life here, capture the people and animals around us, and we're developing Elsk at Lochend, our lochside retreat.

At the heart of it all is the same place — our home, our croft and a little corner of Whalsay we're very lucky to share.
